BOOK REVIEW:- The Chimp Paradox: The MIND MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME FOR CONFIDENCE (By Prof Steve Peters)
Okay. Another psychology book. Another title that tells you all you need to know about the book as a summary. Honestly, these books are getting more and more predictable. Still, as a book review writer, you need to suffer through such misgivings. You sigh and move on.
Apart from the title, I find this book really fascinating. It's a model of your brain explained in terms of 3 characteristics: The Human, The Chimp (Like, what a shock!), and The Computer.
I don't know where or how Prof Peters got this idea and made this model, but it is just fantastic. Really. It's fantastic. I find that it is really true to how human minds (at least, not medically impaired) work.
I'm not saying much, but apart from the model, Peters has created a whole universe filled with planets and moons about various aspects of life. With plenty of examples on the way, this book is going to make you understand.
So, buy this book.
